The first broad applications of colour

Detail of the superb main tree in the painting. Notice how using the barely damp brush has allowed Joe to utilise the texture of the paper.

The result at the end of the demonstration. A superb depiction of a river scene in Scotland. The painting is not complete as we had run out of time and had to vacate the rooom, however the result is still impressive even in this unfinished stage.
